Treo 650 Hard Reset Procedure
Many common issues can be resolved by performing a hard reset
A hard reset erases all data and third-party software on your Treo. Never
hard reset without first trying a soft and system reset. You can restore
previously synchronized data with the next HotSync operation. A hard reset
can tell you whether a problem stems from your Treo or an application
installed on it. If you do not experience the problem after you perform
a hard reset, the problem may be related to software you installed.
Performing the procedure below will return the
phone to the factory state resulting in a loss of all user data. It is
strongly recommended that you backup your data to your computer before
performing a hard reset.
- Press the Battery Door Release button and slide the battery door downward
to remove it from your Treo. Do not remove the battery.
- Take out the stylus and have it ready.
- Hold down the Power/End button.
- While still holding the Power/End button, use the stylus to gently
press the RESET hole on the back.
- You will see palmOne logo and a progress bar first, then a circular
Palm Powered logo. Do not release the Power/End button until the second,
circular Palm Powered logo appears.
