Step 1
Remove the stylus
Remove 3 rubber plugs covering the screw holes circled in red.

Step 2
Remove the card from the SD/MMC expansion slot - if present.
|
|
|
Step 3
Using the T6 Torx driver, remove the four screws circled in
red.
|

Step 4
Carefully pull out the antenna.
|
|
|
Step 5
Very carefully pull the two halves of the housing apart.
|
|
|
Step 6
Use care when handling the internal components
as the unit is easily damaged.
It is a good idea to use a static ground strap.

Step 7
Using the T6 Torx driver, remove the two screws
circled in red.
|
 |
Step 8
Remove the front half of the housing as shown.
|
 |
Step 9
Very carefully move the screen to the position
shown here.
Be sure to hold the keyboard in place.

Step 10
VERY carefully lift one edge of the screen connector
away from the main board and remove the damaged screen.
|
 |
Step 11
Carefully align the screen connector on the replacement
screen with the connector on the main board and apply pressure between
your fingers (as illustrated) to the top side of the connector and
the opposite side of the main board to seat the screen connector.

Step 12
Re-install the front side of the housing as shown.
|

Step 13
Ensure the main board is properly seated into to
front side of the housing.

Step 14
Using the T6 Torx driver, install the two screws
circled in red.

Step 15
Install the back side of the housing as shown.
|
 |
Step 16
Carefully snap the two halves of the housing together.
|
 |
Step 17
Carfully place the antenna into the housing as
shown.
|
 |
Step 18
Install the antenna screw as shown while ensuring
the antenna is fully seated.
Note the long screw
is the antenna screw...

Step 19
Replace 3 rubber plugs covering the screw holes circled in red.
Replace the stylus.

Step 20
Replace the card from the SD/MMC expansion slot - if present.
